Description: | Nine crude corundum crystals from the historic sapphire deposits first discovered in 1895. One crystal is water-worn and came from the alluvial deposits, the others are sharper and likely originated in the American Mine, the only in situ deposit. Ex. John A. Rorer, Jr. collection #094 |
