Description: | Large twinned crystals of black cassiterite 18 mm across on a matrix of bladed black ferberite crystals up to 12 mm with partial coating of 1 mm brown zinnwaldite mica (Mg-rich polylithionite or siderophyllite). The cassiterite is clean and undamaged. Ex. John A. Rorer, Jr. collection #120; Purchased by Dr. Rorer in Verdun, France 1951 |
