Description: | Large green malachite pseudomorph after a large single crystal of azurite 8 cm long. The pseudomorph is complete on three sides and part of the termination. The malachite replaced the azurite molecule by molecule, keeping the original shape. Ex. John A. Rorer, Jr. collection #172; Ex. Dr. W. Schmidt Collection (Germany); acquired Sept. 1936 |
