Description: | Lustrous dark-red almandine garnet crystals in biotite schist matrix. The almandine crystals are well exposed and have excellent internal clarity. Two crystals have chipped edges. Ex. John A. Rorer, Jr. collection #216; Collected on a geology field trip University of Va. |
