Description: | Orange transparent grossular garnet crystals up to 4 mm lining small cavities with green platy clinochlore crystals up to 2 mm and green-brown vesuvianite incomplete crystals. Originally labeled as from Monte Somma, but the clinochlore indicates Ala-Tal. Ex. John A. Rorer, Jr. collection #235; Dr. Rorer obtained this from Dr. Carlson, U.of London |
