Locality:Emmons Quarry, southeastern slope of Uncle Tom Mountain, Greenwood, Oxford County, Maine
Description:Lilac-purple apatite crystals up to 3 mm in a dense grouping perched on albite and muscovite. Nestled in crevices are spherical black crystal aggregates of another mineral, possibly siderite. Looks beautiful under magnification.
