Mineral:Calcite var. Septarian Nodule
Locality:South Dakota
Description:Half of a hollow geode lined with yellow calcite crystals that fluoresce under UV illumination. This formation is known as a Septarian Nodule. The irregular shape was caused by shrinkage fractures that were crystallized with the calcite.
Overall Size:16x16x8 cm
Crystals:3-5 mm
