Locality:Ziegenfuss Quarry, Allentown, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania
Description:Rounded formation of lustrous white aragonite crystals from a small cave that was discovered in 1934, collected by the locals during the weekend it was exposed. The aragonite fluoresces under SW UV illumination and phosphoresces when extinguished. ex. Floyd Faux, author of the article Aragonite at Allentown, Pa. in Rocks & Minerals, v.10, p. 174 (1935)
