Locality:Momeik, northeast of Mogok, Mandalay Division, Myanmar (Burma)
Description:Single crystal of elbaite tourmaline with black (schorl) core zone. The termination is transparent pink and has a flat basal pinacoid face surrounded by many parallel microfaces. If it grew further it would have formed a mushroom-shaped tourmaline.
