Description: | Large mass of black ozokerite that weighs very little. Ozokerite was once thought to be a distinct mineral species, but was identified as a mixture of natural hydrocarbons by Egleston in 1882. Ex. Steve Chamberlain collection #2487; ex. John H. Caswell #1733, acquired from Albert Chester in 1881 |
