Description: | Sharp, well formed hematite pseudomorphs after octahedral magnetite crystals up to 9 mm. The hematite has replaced the magnetite atom by atom retaining the original magnetite shape but with the composition of hematite. Ex. Steve Chamberlain collection #2471; collected by R. Bentley in 1972 |
