Description: | Sparkling brick-red rhodochrosite pseudomorphs after serandite crystals up to 35 mm long with a black mineral (birnessite?) on the rear faces. The luster and translucency make this an attractive pseudomorph (no this is not a contradiction in terms). Ex. Steve Chamberlain collection #5511; acquired in 1983 |
