Locality:Pala District, San Diego County, California
Description:Translucent pink rubellite variety of elbaite tourmaline. The flat basal pinacoid termination has a thin blue-gray zone on the surface. A few colorless albite crystals are included near the base. The termination has scattered edge chipping. Ex. John Albanese (1898-1969), ex. John Albanese, Jr.
