Description: | Two generations of transparent quartz: the first crystal to form is 4 cm long, then it was overgrown by a larger quartz crystal. The outer crystal has a slot, that reveals the inner crystal, probably due to calcite that has dissolved away. Ex. John Albanese, Jr. |
