Mineral:Barite on Calcite
Locality:Clay Center, Ottawa County, Ohio
Description:Large scalenohedral golden calcite crystals up to 9 cm long with scattered overgrowth of tabular colorless barite crystals up to 4 mm. The left edge of the calcite is a cleavage face. The calcite has been cleaned in week acid to remove surface coating. Ex. John Albanese (1898-1969), ex. John Albanese, Jr.
