Mineral:Malachite and Calcite on Cuprite
Locality:Inca de Oro, north of Copiapo, Chile
Description:Fine needle-like transparent green malachite crystals up to 2 mm lining a shallow cavity in massive reddish cuprite matrix. Several small groups of colorless calcite crystals up to 4 mm are intergrown with the malachite crystals. Ex. John Albanese (1898-1969), ex. John Albanese, Jr.
