Description: | Two generations of calcite. The first to form was a large scalenohedral crystal (in the core) about 7 cm long. Then two colorless rhombohedral calcite crystals grew over the first crystal. The internal crystal is visible when rear-illuminated. Ex. Arnold Goldstein (1941-2020) #66 |
