Mineral:Spessartine Garnet with Hyalite Opal on Microcline pseudomorphs
Locality:Tongbei-Yunling District, Fujian Province, China
Description:Scattered wine-red spessartine garnet crystals up to 4 mm on pinkish microcline pseudomorphs after a hexagonal unknown mineral, possibly quartz. Patches fluoresce green under UV illumination indicating presence of hyalite opal.
