Description: | Sparkling transparent datolite crystals up to 3 mm with translucent calcite crystals up to 7 mm on face of matrix. Most of the crystals are colorless, though one area has a yellowish coating. One of 500 specimens bequeathed to ANSP by Ashmead in 1864. Ex. Academy of Natural Sciences of Philadelphia collection #4268, presented by Samuel Ashmead (?-1864) |
