Description: | Brown limonite nodule with a partial aragonite pseudomorph after a belemnite with radiating internal structure. The belemnite is a straight version of it's cousin the spiral nautilus. Note the aragonite shows the su6ture line of the original shell. Ex. Academy of Natural Sciences of Philadelphia collection #24465, collected by Sam Gordon (1897-1952) |
