Description: | Lustrous translucent white bladed barite crystals to 18 mm with scattered transparent pale-yellow calcite crystals to 1 mm. Small metallic chalcopyrite crystals to 1.5 mm are scattered throughout. Barite is uncommon in the Illinois fluorite mines. |
