Description: | Elongated, tapered water-clear aragonite crystals up to 12 mm long, a few with overgrowth of colorless calcite, on pink dolomite. Labeled as calcite pseudomorphs after aragonite, but it is only a partial coating - not an alteration. Most are incomplete. Ex. Steve Chamberlain collection #4558, collected in 1981 |
