Mineral:Andradite-Grossular Garnet
Locality:Trantimou, Kayes Region, Mali
Description:Large central crystal of lustrous translucent brown-black andradite-grossular (exact species t.b.d.) garnet crystals surrounded by many smaller garnet crystals. The garnet crystals are dodecahedral form with etched trapezohedral edge faces.
Overall Size:4.5x3x2.5 cm
Crystals:3-26 mm
