Locality:Pathardy Quarry, Nashik District, Maharashtra, India
Description:Superb specimen of transparent chalcedony, a variety of quartz, in hemispherical aggregates up to 10 mm diameter on matrix coated with an unknown brown mineral and botryoidal black hematite microcrystals. The bottom was sawn to remove excess matrix.
Overall Size:7.5x6.5x2 cm
