DESCRIPTION:No. 40506
Mineral:Calcite var. Manganocalcite
Locality:Dalnegorsk, Primorskiy Kray, Russia
Description:Tapered formation of translucent pink calcite crystals with the top composed of rhombohedral termination faces and the sides showing lustrous prism faces. The pink color is due to high manganese impurities. Must see in person to appreciate.
