Mineral:Sphalerite and Calcite on Quartz
Locality:Elmwood Mine, Carthage, Smith County, Tennessee
Description:Several groups of translucent red-brown sphalerite crystals up to 16 mm across on limestone matrix coated with 1 mm colorless quartz crystals and scattered colorless calcite crystals up to 12 mm across. A few sphalerite crystals show cleavage faces.
