Description: | Large hexagonal black mica crystals locally still called lepidomelane - an obsolete mineral name for iron-rich mica that could be annite, siderophyllite, tetra-ferri-annite. The crystals are large with slick faces where the mica cleaved. Ex. Steve Chamberlain collection #4594, collected in 1975 |
