Description: | Very large black titanite crystal on a stem of brown etched calcite matrix. The titanite crystal is fully exposed front and rear and has glassy luster with textured surfaces where it grew into the surrounding calcite that dissolved away. Ex. Steve Chamberlain collection #2452; ex.R. Bentley in 1980. |
