Description: | Black crystal of tantalite 6 mm across embedded in white albite matrix with a cavity lined with translucent red spessartine garnet crystals to 10 mm. The spessartine crystals are heavily etched with lustrous faces, similar to the recent find in Brazil. Ex. Ned Blandford, originally collected in 1958 |
