Locality: | Garnet mine on Robert's Branch of Pine Creek, 6.5 km southeast of Marshall, Madison County, North Carolina |
Description: | Large partial crystal of red-brown almandine garnet with remnants of gray matrix in crevices. Nine faces of the dodecahedron are complete and undamaged, the bottom is rough where it was removed from matrix. Ex. Ned Reynolds (1923 - 2005), collected in 1949 |
