Description: | Large red-brown almandine garnet crystal in gray schist. The almandine crystal is dodecahedral form with crystallization patterns on the faces. The crystal was fractured in situ but the crack is not visible from the front. Ex. Ned Reynolds (1923 - 2005), originally acquired in 1961 |
