Description: | Wine-red trapezohedral spessartine garnet crystals up to 8 mm across coating one face of granite matrix with a few smoky quartz crystals up to 20 mm. Patches of hyalite opal fluoresce bright green under UV illumination. One quartz crystal is chipped. Ex. Robert C. Lambert (1919-2008) #430 |
