Description: | Transparent red scalenohedral rhodochrosite crystals with no matrix attached. The rhodochrosite crystals have smooth lustrous crystal faces and deep red color sought by collectors. One rear crystal has a cleaved tip. These specimens are now hard to find. Ex. Robert C. Lambert (1919-2008) #222; originally acquired in 1978 |
