Mineral:Uvite Tourmaline
Locality:Bush Farm (formerly the Jones Farm), Richville, St. Lawrence County, New York
Description:Translucent brown uvite tourmaline crystals in parallel orientation lining one face of matrix. The uvite fluoresces yellow under UV illumination. These tourmalines are frequently mislabeled as dravite, but recent testing proved them to be uvite.
