Description: | Classic specimen of brown smithsonite pseudomorphs after a rhombohedral calcite crystal 40 mm long with hollow interior where the calcite originally formed. Has remnants of a painted catalog number on one face (can be removed with paint remover). Ex. Carnegie Museum, Pittsburgh; ex. Spang collection, acquired September 1881 |
