Locality:Stirling Brook, Watchung, Somerset County, New Jersey
Description:Top quality translucent red-amber carnelian in botryoidal ball-formations to 8 mm. Originally formed in basalt cavities, these have weathered out and are found in a local stream bed. Back side has casts after calcite.
