Mineral:Calcite on Marcasite
Locality:Shullsburg District, Lafayette County, Wisconsin
Description:Elongated cluster of parallel calcite crystals up to 60 mm across on metallic marcasite crystalline plate. The calcite crystals have brown limonite stains around the periphery. The largest crystal is badly bruised which is why the price is inexpensive.
