Locality: | Pyi-Gyi-Taung Mountain, near Let-Pan-Hla, Mandalay, Myanmar (Burma) |
Description: | Many lustrous rubellite tourmaline crystals, the pink gem variety of the mineral species elbaite, to 13 mm long intergrown with transparent quartz crystals to 15 mm long. The pink color is bright and contrasts nicely against the quartz. |
