Locality:Sar-e-sang, Kokscha Valley, Badakshan, Afghanistan (Type Locality for Lazurite)
Description:Sharp, well defined lazurite crystal in marble. The lazurite crystal is indigo-blue color and flat crystal faces with etched luster. The rear edge contacted an adjacent crystal. Yellow-metallic pyrite crystals are scattered throughout.
