Locality: | Garnet Ledge, east shore of Stikine River Delta, 11 km north of Wrangell, Alaska |
Description: | Two wine-red almandine garnet crystals in dark gray schist. The garnet crystals are dodecahedral form with trapezohedral edge modifications. This famous old locality, now owned by the Boy Scouts, is exhausted and will never again produce specimens. Ex. Chas. W. Velte Jr. (1914-1987) collection #238 |
