Description: | Lustrous translucent brown dravite tourmaline crystals on one face of a thick vein of muscovite mica. Many of the dravite crystals are terminated, with three-faced pyramidal termination faces. The dravite fluoresces faint orange under UV illumination. Ex. Henry D. Miller (1838-1919 or 1920) collection, (see Final Disposition Of Some American Collections Of Minerals, Frederick A. Canfield, 1923), bequeathed to the Wadsworth Atheneum in 1909; ex. Loomis-Chaffee School |
