Description: | Many intersecting dark lustrous epidote crystals standing upright off massive epidote matrix. The epidote crystals show transparent green-brown color when rear-illuminated. Several crystals in the center are incomplete. Ex. Henry D. Miller (1838-1919 or 1920) collection, (see Final Disposition Of Some American Collections Of Minerals, Frederick A. Canfield, 1923), bequeathed to the Wadsworth Atheneum in 1909; ex. Loomis-Chaffee School |
