Locality:Redding, Fairfield County, Connecticut
Description:Several lustrous dodecahedral red-brown almandine garnet crystals in biotite schist. This locality was lost after the site was flooded by a nearby dam. Ex. Henry D. Miller (1838-1919 or 1920) collection, bequeathed to the Wadsworth Atheneum in 1909; ex. Loomis-Chaffee School
