Description: | Botryoidal brown hematite with coating of black metallic specular hematite microcrystals with hematite-included Cumberland-habit quartz crystals. I suspect the old label gives an incorrect locality and that this originated from near Egremont in Cumbria. Ex. Henry D. Miller (1838-1919 or 1920) collection, bequeathed to the Wadsworth Atheneum in 1909; ex. Loomis-Chaffee School |
