Description: | Lustrous dark-metallic hematite crystals to 12 mm across intermixed with limonite-stained transparent colorless quartz crystals to 4 mm long. The hematite crystals have mirror-like surfaces with colorful iridescence that varies from green to pink. Ex. Henry D. Miller (1838-1919 or 1920) collection, bequeathed to the Wadsworth Atheneum in 1909; ex. Loomis-Chaffee School |
