Description: | Classic specimen of lustrous transparent green brochantite microcrystals almost completely coating one face of matrix. The brochantite crystals look beautiful under magnification. This specimen probably was collected by M. Bixby at the Horn Silver Mine. Ex. Henry D. Miller (1838-1919 or 1920) collection, (see Final Disposition Of Some American Collections Of Minerals, Frederick A. Canfield, 1923), bequeathed to the Wadsworth Atheneum in 1909; ex. Loomis-Chaffee School |
