Description: | Lustrous transparent pale-green (nearly colorless) datolite crystals on dark basalt. I believe this originated in the early tunnel excavations at this site ca. 1870s because Miller had the specimen before the 1909 work was done. Ex. Henry D. Miller (1838-1919 or 1920) collection, bequeathed to the Wadsworth Atheneum in 1909; ex. Loomis-Chaffee School |
