Locality:Amity, Orange County, New York
Description:Octahedral black spinel crystals in parallel orientation with minor white marble matrix between the spinel crystals. The spinel crystallized in the marble resulting in a few surface convolutions in the corners, but all appear to be complete. Ex. James B. Cone collection; ex. William R.C. Corson in 1918
