Description: | Translucent orange scalenohedral rhodochrosite crystals up to 4 mm long on botryoidal black Mn-oxide matrix with white aragonite (or calcite). The rhodochrosite crystals are scattered throughout the specimen which could be divided into smaller specimens. Ex. Chas. W. Velte Jr. (1914-1987) collection #30 |
