Description: | Segment of a peridot (green gem variety of forsterite) xenolith from the explosion debris field of an 180,000-year-old volcano. When the surface of the specimen is viewed under magnification many transparent green peridot fragments are visible. Ex. J. Cilen (1916-1997) #19786 |
